Not Sure? Read Below...

Description/Use: Single Vision lenses have a prescription for one focal point (meaning that the prescription will help your eyes to focus better at only one distance). These lenses are used to correct myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism but not presbyopia (the need to correct near and far with one lens). A preson with presbyopia will need a bifocal lens, trifocal or multifocal progressive lens. To learn more about your vision, how these lenses work or why they are prescribed for you, you can visit our education center. Click on the "Learn" tab on the main page. All orders must include at least a basic lens order - this pair of prescription lenses meets the minimum requirement.

These lenses are prescribed for Distance Vision Only glasses, Reading glasses or Computer/Intermediate Glasses.

Please Note: If you would like to upgrade your lenses, see the options below (also on the "Lens Options" page. The standard lens in the industry is CR-39 plastic. We include a scratch resistant coating and UV protection on all lenses. If you would like to get a different lens material or add to the coatings please review the options below.

(Thin & Light) Polycarbonate Lenses - thinner and lighter in weight than the standard CR-39 plastic lenses. These lenses are required for minors in most states, athletes and for many safety lenses/frames due to their impact resistance. If you have vision in only one eye, your doctor may prescribe Polycarbonate for your protection

(Super  Thin & Light) Hi-Index Lenses 1.67 - Given the higher "Index of Refraction" by using this type of lens, we are able to make your lenses even thinner and lighter weight than polycarbonate material. These lenses also have less peripheral distortion than the polycarbonate.

(Ultra Thin & light) Hi-Index Lenses 1.74 - These lenses are the thinnest and lightest lenses available by law!

Many optical companies choose to avoid offering this lens simply due to the high cost to make it should an error be made in the process.

You can add any of these materials below. Other options are available separately on the "Lens Options Page". Additional Lens Options that must be added separately include...

  • Light-Adaptive Photochromatic Lenses - such as Transitions
  • Digital Blue Block Protection
  • Anti-Reflective Coating
  • Tint, Polarized Lenses, Mirror Coating
  • And many more
